Coyote Flaxseed Pancake & Waffle Mix
A key source of Omega-3 polyunsaturates with no added sugars, our Flaxseed Pancake and Waffle Mix is a fibre rich start to your day.
1 cup (250ml) Coyote Pancake and Waffle Mix
1 cup (250ml) milk (or water if desired)
1 egg (optional)
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
Preheat griddle to 375°F (191°C). Griddle is hot enough when water bounces on it before evaporating. Place ingredients in mixing bowl and stir until smooth. Pour batter onto lightly greased griddle or add 2 tablespoons (30ml) vegetable oil to batter, if desired. Bubbles on top indicate time to turn. Cook until golden brown.
Makes 12 (4” / 10cms) pancakes.
For a thinner batter add more liquid.
2 cup (500ml) Coyote Pancake and Waffle Mix
2 cups (500ml) milk
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil (optional)
Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions. Place ingredients in mixing bowl and stir until smooth. Pour batter onto lightly greased waffle iron until 2/3 of the surface is covered; close lid. Wait 3 – 4 minutes or until steaming stops.
Makes about 8 (4” / 10cms) waffles.
